The Baseline is back this week for one of the main features that will be made available in Tennis Manger 2022 : 3D Customisation. Let your imagination run wild and create your player as you please.
The 3D Engine – What’s New?
Previously in Tennis Manager 2021, you would have the ability to see how your player appears on the court during a match, and would then have the option off-court to customise different superficial attributes to clothing and sponsors in your spare time.
In TM22, we are opening a whole new menu to show off the customisation of your 3D character. You will have the ability to see your character exactly as they will look on court, and make the adjustments you desire with a full visual representation before they go on to play their matches. This feature can have many different uses and abilities, depending on when and how you use it.
The various customisable options are greater, and you can also see first-hand how they affect the appearance of your player.
How can it be used?
The 3D customisation depends on whether you are at the start of a career or in the middle of one. During a career, the customisation options will still be limited only in the outward appearance of an already-existing player. If the player already exists in the roster, you’ll have the option of changing their racquet, shoes and overall outfit. There are further new customisation options for TM22 such as wristbands, and the ability to view your player outside of the match interface.
When it comes to the creation of a totally new player at the start of a career, you of course have all of the above options, and also the ability to change their appearance and physical characteristics. This includes facets such as their sex, skin and hair colour, height and weight.
The purpose of this is to add to the uniqueness of the player, and to help you to truly envision what you would like your tennis player to look like as well as how they play. In many ways it is a simple change, but a very important one for our players who ask for what we promise: an uber-realistic simulator that allows for the greatest amount of detail possible by the player. We hope we have delivered.
Until next week! --- Jeremy
